Member Services

Membership in PNW SETAC is open to anyone interested in research, education, training, or a career in the environmental sciences, especially in the fields of environmental toxicology and chemistry. Levels of participation and involvement can range from just being on our email contact list to attending our annual conferences, presenting research, chairing a session, hosting a workshop, joining the PNW SETAC Board of Directors, or becoming a Sustaining Member.

Membership in PNW-SETAC is separate from membership in SETAC North America and as such requires the payment of annual dues to support its mission and the activities it sponsors.  


Specifically, dues are used to:

  • Provide Best Student Poster and Platform Presentation Awards
  • Provide student travel awards to support student participation and involvement at NA SETAC annual conferences
  • Pay rental and catering fees associated with holding the annual PNW SETAC meetings
  • Pay operational expenses, i.e. supplies, website/domain fees, and checking/credit card account fees

Membership Types and Dues

Individuals

Member

$50 USD

For individuals engaged in the environmental sciences profession

Student

$20 USD

Currently enrolled, or graduated in the last year

Sustaining

$1,500 USD

This is an individual lifetime membership for a one-time payment of $1500.00 USD. The member has annual dues waived, free attendance to the annual conference, and free dinner at our traditional Friday night social event (a $230/year value). Sustaining members are acknowledged on our Sustaining Members dedicated webpage.


Corporate

Orca

$1,000 USD

Orca entitles the company to send up to 3 people free of charge to the meeting and/or workshop, free Friday night dinner, acknowledgment in the Meeting Program and Newsletter, plus free advertising on the Sustaining Member website.

Chinook

$500 USD

Chinook entitles the company to send 1 person free of charge to the meeting and/or workshop, free Friday night dinner, acknowledgment in the Meeting Program and Newsletter, plus free advertising on the Sustaining Member website.

Heron

$250 USD

Heron entitles the company to the Friday night dinner for free and acknowledgment in the Meeting Program and Newsletter.

Kingfisher

$150 USD

The donor is acknowledged in the Meeting Program and Newsletter.
